We're recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering firm based in Sandy, Bedfordshire, looking for a Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to someone with solid CAD skills and an engineering background.
The Role:
- Design bespoke equipment using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
- Collaborate with internal teams and liaise directly with suppliers
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
- Support design calculations and system specifications
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD
- Strong engineering background
- Experience designing mechanical systems (e.g. pneumatics, fluid/steam systems, gearboxes)
- Practical knowledge of stress calculations, tolerance, and sheet metal development
- Hands-on shop floor experience or apprenticeship background (advantageous)
