Fire Door Carpenter

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fire Door Carpenter to join our team at Coastline. As a Fire Door Carpenter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and surveying of fire doors on Coastline properties throughout Cornwall, including out of hours service. You will ensure that works are carried out in the most cost effective and efficient manner, whilst complying with Fire and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and survey fire doors on Coastline properties across Cornwall, including out of hours service.
• Ensure works are completed in a cost effective and efficient manner while complying with Fire and Safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with customers, both independently and as part of a team, in customers\\\’ homes.
• Use a mobile device and possess basic IT skills to support work tasks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Joinery for Fire door installers or other relevant trade, or equivalent level of competence from on-the-job experience.
• Current CSCS card or ability to obtain one in role.
• Full driving licence and satisfactory basic DBS check.
• Experience working with customers in a home environment, and ideally knowledge of local housing and the social housing sector.
• Ability to work in various settings, both independently and as part of a team.
