Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Freelance Consultant role based in Falkirk. The Freelance Consultant will be responsible for implementing training programmes tailored to adults 50+ aspiring to gain digital confidence with the aim of returning to the workplace.
The course in question is designed to empower claimants of all ages across Falkirk and Grangemouth with the confidence, knowledge and practical tools needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
This engaging and inclusive provision will support claimants in developing essential digital skills, enhancing employability and preparing for the future of work.
Through a blend of hands‑on learning, guided exploration and real‑world applications, the course aims to:
- Build digital confidence by demystifying technology and encouraging positive attitudes toward digital tools and platforms.
- Equip learners with basic digital skills that are vital for everyday life, accessing services and participating in the modern workforce.
- Support job search and employability by teaching participants how to create CVs, apply for jobs online and prepare for digital interviews.
- Introduce artificial intelligence (AI) in an accessible and practical way, showing how it can be used to support learning, job seeking and personal development.
By the end of the course, participants will need to feel more digitally capable, future‑ready and confident in navigating both online environments and the evolving job market. This course is not just about learning technology – it’s about unlocking potential, fostering independence and opening doors to new opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience and expertise in training design, delivery and evaluation within a professional setting.
- Strong communication, presentation and public‑speaking skills.
- Proven knowledge of digital systems, workflows and industry best practices (including Microsoft Office systems and AI software).
- Flexibility to work on‑site in Falkirk and Grangemouth.
- Previous consulting or tutoring experience required.
- Accreditations verifiable for tutoring/teaching required.
