Coastline Facilities Support Services Ltd delivers reactive, planned, and void maintenance across occupied and unoccupied housing stock. We work with housing associations, property managers, and landlords who expect first-time fixes, accurate reporting, and professional tenant engagement. Our operatives are trusted to diagnose issues properly, manage their own workload, and use live job management systems to deliver consistent results.

The Role

We are recruiting a self-sufficient Multi-Trade Operative to carry out reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and void works across a mixed portfolio of occupied and unoccupied properties in the West Berkshire area. This role suits operatives who:

  • Are comfortable completing multiple reactive jobs in a day
  • Are equally happy working on longer planned or void projects
  • Are organised, methodical, and solutions-focused
  • Can work independently and take ownership of their jobs
  • Understand how their work impacts WIP, KPIs, and client performance

This role is not suitable for juniors, improvers, or operatives unfamiliar with live job management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reactive maintenance in occupied and unoccupied properties
  • Planned maintenance and void refurbishments
  • Multi-trade repairs including:
    • Plumbing
    • Patch plastering
    • General property maintenance
  • Delivering first-time fixes wherever possible
  • Using BigChange and WorkPal to:
    • Receive and close jobs in real time
    • Upload photos and detailed job notes
    • Manage WIP accurately
    • Work to agreed KPIs for attendance, completion, quality, and reporting
  • Maintaining excellent communication with tenants and clients
  • Adhering to health & safety and company standards at all times

Essential Requirements (Strict)

  • 5–7+ years’ experience in housing maintenance (reactive, planned, voids)
  • Proven multi-trade capability (minimum three core trades)
  • Experience working in occupied and unoccupied properties
  • Confidence using live job management / CRM systems
  • Clear understanding of WIP management and KPI-driven delivery
  • Highly organised with a strong problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent tenant and client communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Qualifications (NVQ, CSCS, etc.) are desirable but do not replace experience or system competence.
