Coastfields Leisure Ltd is one of the largest family-owned holiday park and leisure operators on the Lincolnshire Coast, with venues between Skegness and Mablethorpe. We are committed to providing excellent facilities and exciting new developments for our customers.

We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Manager at our Grange Leisure Park in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire. This is a permanent, salaried position and we are ideally looking for someone to start working in this role immediately. You will be working with the site managers and senior management team to ensure that menus, kitchens and operations are fit for purpose, profitable and efficient. You will be overseeing the day to day operation of the kitchen and promoting fellow team and kitchen hygiene practices. This role will be based on a split shift pattern, (5 or 6 days out of 7), so you will be expected to be flexible and enthusiastic in your approach.

You will be responsible for:

  • Food ordering, stock management and kitchen manager duties.
  • Ensuring that all food and labour cost targets are met.
  • Assist with Menu planning and costing.
  • Food safety management.
  • Creating a positive and professional ethos within the team. Strong people management and organisational skills together with a positive outlook are therefore essential.
  • Hands on kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and clean-up.
  • Ensuring that customers receive their orders in a timely manner and well presented.
  • Ensuring that all kitchen and waiting staff adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a clean and sanitary 5-star environment throughout.
  • Inspecting raw and cooked food deliveries to guarantee that the highest quality products are prepared and served to customers.
  • Collaborating with venue management to align kitchen operations with the aims and overarching goals of the establishment.
  • Maintaining kitchen equipment; scheduling repairs and additional maintenance as needed.

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in a busy kitchen supervisory/management position.
  • Significant experience as a chef, in addition to experience as a sous chef or line cook.
  • Well organised and with strong attention to detail.
  • Creative and flexible.
  • Ability to oversee and manage kitchen operations.
  • Level 3 Kitchen Management preferred.
  • Ability to stay positive and focused when under pressure and deal with conflicting priorities.
