Coastfields Leisure Ltd is one of the largest holiday park operators on the East Coast of Lincolnshire with a range of venues from Mablethorpe to Skegness. We all work together to ensure that all of our owners, customers and employees are well looked after and have a great season.

We are looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Maintenance Engineer / Mechanic at Coastfields Leisure Ltd. This role is mainly based in Skegness, Lincolnshire but you may be required to travel to our other sites, in the surrounding areas from time to time, to assist our other parks with breakdowns and on call outs etc. This mainly workshop based role will be suitable for engineers familiar with the maintenance of fleet vehicles, cars, LGVs, horticultural, agricultural, small plant and equipment.

Main Purpose of the Job

  • Compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Diagnosing vehicle and equipment faults manually or with the aid of software and digital tools.
  • Preparing cost and time estimates for work done.
  • Repairing and replacing faulty vehicle parts.
  • Performing test drives to check repairs and delivering vehicles to sites.
  • Carrying out scheduled servicing and maintenance.
  • Proactively carrying out preventative maintenance for vehicles plant and equipment.
  • Able to work on a wide variety of plant and equipment.
  • Updating vehicle service records and databases.
  • Installing and fitting new vehicle accessories.
  • Liaising with vehicle and equipment users and site managers and prioritising work accordingly.
  • Ensuring company procedures are complied with.
  • Work on mechanical components of agricultural machines, plant and road vehicles, perform diagnostic checks on machinery and perform welding and fabrication repair and solutions as needed.
  • Working in the workshop during the winter months, ensuring machines are ready to work on the parks in the spring and summer months.
  • To work as a reactive breakdown engineer to all machinery on all sites.

About You

  • An experienced engineer from an agricultural, horticultural, construction, vehicle, maintenance and plant background.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to easily understand and resolve mechanical issues in road vehicles.
  • Electrical knowledge to allow effective diagnostic solutions for the various machines being used.
  • Must be highly professional, enthusiastic and passionate about their work.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A flexible approach, you may be required to work extra hours during peak season, and possibly some Saturday work, (as necessary).

Qualifications

(City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent etc.) in relevant subject is essential, however we are looking for solid experience and good technical ability.
