Our vessels are modern, spacious, and designed for comfort, and our crew is at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for a skilled and personable Captain to join our team, ensuring safe navigation of our vessels while also delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and navigate passenger vessels in Poole Harbour, along the Dorset coastline, and on longer charter trips.
- Take overall responsibility for the safety of passengers, crew, and vessel at all times.
- Conduct pre-departure checks, safety briefings, and ensure compliance with MCA regulations.
- Lead, support, and motivate the crew to maintain excellent standards of service, presentation, and safety.
- Provide commentary (where required) with confidence, knowledge, and enthusiasm.
- Maintain accurate records, including logs, fuel use, and voyage reports.
Skills & Experience
- Valid Boatmaster’s Licence (appropriate to vessel size and operations).
- Strong knowledge of maritime safety procedures and navigation.
- Previous experience as Captain of passenger vessels preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, safe decisions.
