Job Description

A new role has arisen with a Construction firm based in East London, looking for a Project manager/Network Co-ordinator

Job duties

  • Raise and close road space permits for all works on Street Manager, based on an annual lane closure programme
  • Apply for Temporary Traffic Orders as and when required via TfL or the Local Council’s application process
  • Liaise closely with the Roads team and with all 3rd parties (utilities, developers, buses and local Highway
  • Authorities) to facilitate their works delivery on our network
  • Grant or refuse works space permits on Street Manager for all applications within the A13 DBFO boundary by assessing traffic management requirements, road space availability and any restrictive conditions
  • Assist 3rd parties in obtaining the relevant road space permit and assist in fee recovery for this service
  • Issue the Road Space Bulletin on a weekly issue
  • Check for updates on the O&M weekly programme on daily basis; update Street Manager and re-issue the Road Space Bulletin if required
  • Liaise with the Roads team in case of any emergencies and reactive responses
  • Liaise with Duty Control as and when required

Experience required

  • Work experience in Finance/QS, Project Management/Admin, Highways/Civil Engineering, Commercial/NEC3/NEC4
  • Work experience in network co-ordination and permitting.
  • Good attention to detail and typing skills required.
  • Level 6 NVQ in Construction Site Management – Desirable
