A new position has arisen for a Roads Co-ordinator/Project Manager for a Construction firm based near Canary Wharf who are responsible for operating and maintaining a 25-km stretch of the A13.

Duties

  • To deliver effective network co-ordination and utilisation, liaising with utilities, 3rd parties and internal works delivery to accommodate the requirement of the road space availability.
  • To drive effective project management for the Roads Team, establishing and maintaining a centre of excellence for all administrative processes around service and works delivery.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Raise and close road space permits for all works on Street Manager, based on an annual lane closure programme.
  • Apply for Temporary Traffic Orders as and when required via TfL or the Local Council’s application process.
  • Liaise closely with the Roads team and with all 3rd parties (utilities, developers, buses and local Highway Authorities) to facilitate their works delivery on our network.
  • Grant or refuse works space permits on Street Manager for all applications within the A13 DBFO boundary by assessing traffic management requirements, road space availability and any restrictive conditions.
  • Assist 3rd parties in obtaining the relevant road space permit and assist in fee recovery for this service.
  • Issue the Road Space Bulletin on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain the licence tracker and assist in the recovery of licence fees.
