Our client is looking for an experienced commercial insurance individual to join the growing team.
About the role:
The Commercial New Business Executive will be responsible for generating and securing new business opportunities in the commercial space, the successful candidate will play a key part in delivering the agency’s sales strategy and sector development, helping to drive sustainable and profitable growth the companies strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• New Business Development by delivering personal sales targets by identifying, prospecting, and securing new commercial clients
• Sector Focus- growth in key commercial sectors including:
- Motor Trade
- Manufacturing
- Building and Allied Trades
- Property Owners
- Retail
- Wholesalers
- Fleet
- Sales Planning & execute sales strategies using relevant market research, sector knowledge, and competitor insight to identify and convert opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management by building and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, delivering tailored insurance solutions that meet clients’ needs and exceed expectations.
- Cross-Selling to proactively identify opportunities to introduce and refer the businesses wider proposition, including:
- Financial Services (Protection, Pensions & Investments)
- Risk Management Services
- Health & Safety Consultancy
- Compliance & Quality – Operate at all times within the compliance, conduct and regulatory framework . Maintain high standards of advice and ensure documentation and processes are always audit-ready.
- Development & Learning- Take responsibility for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, regulatory changes, market trends and sales skills.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Proven track record of successful commercial insurance sales
• Experience dealing with mid to high premium cases
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to deliver against targets
• Commercial awareness and understanding of client needs across relevant sectors
• Professional, organised and customer-focused approach
• Commitment to compliance and delivering good customer outcomes
