Economic Development Officers in Hamilton

Location: Council Headquarters, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA.

Hours: 35 hours per week; Working pattern: Monday – Thursday 8:45 – 4:45 pm, Friday 8:45 am – 4:15 pm.

Salary: £50,622 – £51,370 annually.

Actual closing date: Sunday 11th January 2026 at 11:55 pm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project briefs, business cases and programmes.
• Monitor contract expenditure and ensure compliance.
• Manage resources, including external agencies.
• Coordinate input from a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

South Lanarkshire Council\’s Enterprise and Sustainable Development Service is seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals with a strong background in project planning and delivery. Candidates should demonstrate an aptitude for partnership working and the ability to operate effectively within a degree of complexity and uncertainty.
