Vicar of St Mary’s Harrow on the Hill and Assistant Chaplain to Harrow School
This is an exciting full-time stipendiary role. Two thirds of your time will be spent as Incumbent of St Mary’s and one third (two days a week in term time) in your work as Assistant Chaplain to Harrow School.
St Mary’s is a friendly, busy church community with the Eucharist at its heart. We are looking for a vicar who:
- Is committed to supporting and growing lay leadership and helping us grow in faith through preaching and teaching.
- Will encourage our strong musical tradition and support our ministry to children and young people.
- Will work with us to engage with our community, building on our established links and helping us develop new connections.
- Will help us grow our mission to the wider parish so that more may come to know the love of God.
As Assistant Chaplain to Harrow School you will be central to the life of the school community and will work as a key part of a chaplaincy team. You will lead Christian worship and contribute to the life of the school through pastoral care, spiritual oversight, engagement in school events and participation in the activities which best match your skills and interests.
Together, St Mary’s and Harrow School offer:
- A dynamic and welcoming community for ministry, offering the incumbent exceptional facilities and support within the prestigious environment of the school.
- An opportunity to shape and develop this unique role.
- Collegiality with two self-supporting associate priests, and the school chaplaincy team.
- An engaged and supportive congregation.
- A well-appointed vicarage in an excellent location.
