St Gregory’s is looking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team. Duties include, but are not exclusive to, the following:
- Observing Health and Safety Regulations as directed by the Cook;
- Assisting with basic food preparation and the service of meals;
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in the catering areas, including cleaning tables, washing up, brushing and mopping floors;
- Assisting with the setting up and dismantling of dining furniture;
- Observing correct portion sizes;
- Maintaining attractive food presentation throughout all services;
- Encouraging children to choose healthy meal options;
- Completing temperature record forms;
- Completing cleaning schedule checklists;
- Reporting any deficiencies, damage or defects to equipment or supplies to the Cook.
