Hours - 15 Hrs per week over 39 Weeks per year (Casual hour contracts will be considered)

Basis - Permanent, Part Time

Salary/Grade - Band 4, SCP (11-17) £25,979.00 - £28,770.00 (FTE)

Actual Salary - £9,534.94 - £10,510.84

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure that the technical operation of the theatre and all Performing Arts areas are always safe and comply with current legislation and industry standards.
  • Establish operating procedures and protocols for all technical equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all technical equipment is fit for purpose, correctly stored, maintained and documented and used appropriately when required.
  • Responsible for the management and set up of the Box office system.
  • As required, assist with the manufacture, painting, moving and storage of scenery, props and special effects.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum three years relevant experience working in a venue/theatre/technical department/touring company or similar.
  • Proven specialist experience in programming, lighting and sound design and operation of sound and audio visual technical systems.
  • Demonstrate excellent hands-on technical experience in the safe operation of rigging, building and striking sets, staging and preparing theatre spaces for performance and events.
  • Computer literate, including the ability to read and understand technical plans with knowledge of relevant applications.
