Felsted School has a thriving music department and we are currently looking for a Peripatetic Music Teacher of Harp. The school has a strong tradition of orchestral and instrumental music and the students have many opportunities to perform as soloists and in ensembles. Pupils often work towards ABRSM and Trinity exams.

We are looking for a teacher with considerable experience of teaching at all levels of ability (particularly in inspiring beginners), and has the initiative, vision and the ability to build on the success of our thriving department and contribute to its further development. We particularly welcome applications from those who can teach across all ABRSM and Trinity grades.

Like many of our peripatetic staff, you may well perform professionally and will certainly have the confidence, credibility and technical expertise to encourage participation to enable each pupil to reach his or her musical potential.

The role is a permanent position. The hourly rate of pay is between £37.23 and £43.20, depending upon which pension scheme you wish to join. The hours of work will be dependent on the number of students wishing to study the Harp - this is currently a small number of students in the Prep School, and we would be looking for the successful candidate to be committed to actively growing interest in learning the Harp.

For an informal discussion, please contact Mr W Warns, Director of Music, via hr@felsted.org.

Benefits include:
