About the Role:

Bedford Girls’ School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Junior School Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to inspire, nurture and challenge our pupils to achieve their full potential – academically, socially and personally.

We are looking for someone who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it and has proven experience of successful teaching across Key Stage 2. Experience or knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) and transdisciplinary learning would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, teach, assess and monitor pupils’ progress to ensure high standards of learning and achievement.

  • Create a positive, stimulating and well-organised classroom environment.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver the agreed curriculum and contribute to the development of innovative teaching practices.

  • Support the wellbeing of pupils, fostering an inclusive and nurturing atmosphere where every girl feels valued and confident.

  • Participate in the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities, trips and events.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
