Required from April 2026. We have a part-time maternity cover vacancy within the main school kitchen for the role of Chef de Partie. This is a fixed term position from 20 April 2026 to end of March 2027 working term time only (39 weeks) from Monday to Thursday each week, 8 hours per day, 6.30am - 3.00pm.

£16.25 per hour (£22,733.95 per annum). The successful candidate will join a team of seven, producing over 1000 high quality meals per day, alongside a varied range of hospitality including fine dining. This role would suit a highly motivated chef with a keen eye for detail both in food preparation and service delivery.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as the role involves working closely with Catering Managers, external clients, school staff and pupils. Queenswood is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and all applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. This role carries a high level of safeguarding responsibilities. Full safeguarding checks will be carried out on the successful applicant. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
