FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade D point 8-14 - £27,709 - £30,515

Actual Salary Range: £10,663.19 - £11,72.99

Contract Type: Permanent, part-time, term-time only

Contract Hours: 16 per week

ACE Schools is seeking a dedicated AP Administrator to support the smooth and effective operation of our alternative provision setting. Working alongside a small, committed team of teachers, teaching assistants and pastoral staff, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs.

About the role

As AP Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across the provision, ensuring that key operational, financial, HR and compliance processes run efficiently. You will often be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, contractors and external agencies, helping to create a welcoming and professional environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to school leaders and staff.
  • Managing correspondence, data entry, filing and general office administration.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, deliveries and enquiries.
  • Supporting premises and health & safety compliance processes.
  • Processing purchase orders, invoices and financial records.
  • Liaising with supply agencies and supporting staff onboarding processes.
  • Supporting exam administration and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring confidentiality at all times.

About the successful candidate

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience working in a busy administrative environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with financial administration and office systems.
  • Knowledge of compliance, health & safety or premises-related processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
