We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about helping young people thrive. You will provide classroom support, promote inclusion, and work alongside teaching staff to ensure all pupils have the confidence, encouragement and opportunities to succeed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate.
  • Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff.
  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.

Pay range: SCP 7 - 11 £23,988.23 - £25,568.74 (FTE: £27,274.00 - £29,071.00) 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year Permanent.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
  • TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience.
  • Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age range.
  • Ability to work with an individual child or with a group.
