Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced person to head up our team at CTS Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, excellent communication skills and the ability to drive team success.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth functioning of the company.
- Manage budgets and ensure compliance with charity and department regulations.
- Hire, train and mentor team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Manage funded community and education programmes.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organisational objectives.
- Source and secure funding to allow the company to meet objectives.
Communication:
- Act as a liaison between board and staff/tutors.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication within the team.
- Liaise with local schools/colleges, government departments and local council.
Problem-Solving:
- Address and resolve any issues that arise within the team or department.
- Implement improvement plans as needed.
- Deal with day-to-day issues as and when they arise.
Person Specification
- Minimum GCSE grade C in English & Mathematics or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years in a management role within a training/educational business or charity.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational and budgeting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Driving license.
- Proficiency in using Windows Operating system with Microsoft Office.
- Third Level Qualification or practical equivalent.
- Experience in applying for and securing grants and funding.
- Experience working with young people.
- Proficiency in other relevant software and tools including knowledge of Payroll software.
Company Background:
Coalisland Training Services Ltd have been operating since 1982 as a not-for-profit community organisation with charitable status. We currently have 7 full-time staff and 20 part-time tutors depending on courses/programmes. We work with learners as young as 12 and see no reason to have an upper age limit. Courses range from Vocational to recreational. Our core business involves the Government funded programmes: Skills for Life & Work and Apprentice NI. We also manage Big Lottery, Children in Need and Education funded programmes.
