Field Service Engineer – Nationwide Service Provider – Hertfordshire / Bedfordshire – Salary: £27,040 – £30,160 + door to door + on-call + overtime = £40k – £50k + Company Van + Tools + Workwear + Training.

On joining this business you will be trained on how to repair and service a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment including load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, winches and moving decks and in turn gain a recognised industry certification.

Responsibilities:

As Field Service Engineer you will carry out both planned and unplanned service and breakdown repair to customers vehicle fleets throughout Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and the local surrounding region.

Schedule and on-call:

The role will require you to be on-call 1 in 4 weekends and 2 evenings during the week.

Qualifications:

You will ideally be qualified in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery or similar; be comfortable using various hand tools and have some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing mechanical equipment. Any prior knowledge or experience of hydraulics and basic fault finding on 12 & 24 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.

Previous experience of working on heavy vehicle plant / machinery, forklift trucks, agricultural machinery, compactors, bailers, road sweepers, telehandlers or similar equipment is a distinct advantage, though not essential.
