Nationwide Service Provider in Angus / Aberdeenshire is seeking a qualified individual within mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics or plant for the role of Field Service Engineer. The salary is £30,160 with potential earnings of £40k - £50k through door-to-door service, on-call duties, and overtime.
On joining this business, you will receive full ongoing training to repair and service a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment including load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, winches, and moving decks, leading to a recognised industry certification.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will carry out both planned service and unplanned breakdown repairs to customers' vehicle fleets throughout Angus, Perthshire, and Aberdeenshire. The role requires being on-call 1 in 3 weekends and covering evenings every other week after training.
You should ideally be qualified to NVQ level or equivalent in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery or similar. A practical approach to problem-solving, comfort using various hand tools, and some experience in assembly, service, maintenance or repair of mechanical-based equipment are essential. Experience with heavy vehicle plant, machinery, forklift trucks, farm machinery, road sweepers or similar equipment is beneficial but not essential.
