A nationwide service provider is looking for a Field Service Engineer based in Bristol, Gloucester, or North Somerset. The salary ranges from £27,000 to £30,000, with potential earnings of £40k to £50k including door-to-door pay, on-call, and overtime. The role includes a company van, tools, pension, workwear, and training.
Key responsibilities include servicing and repairing a wide range of equipment such as load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, tail lifts, winches, moving decks, and vehicle-mounted onboard power including compressors and generators.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will carry out both planned and unplanned breakdown repair services for customers throughout Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset, South Wales, and parts of Wiltshire. You will be part of the on-call rota, which consists of 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend in every 5.
Qualifications required include NVQ level or equivalent in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery, or similar. You should be comfortable using mechanical hand tools and have experience in the service, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, along with a basic understanding of hydraulics and fault finding on 12 & 24 volt electrics. Previous experience with heavy vehicle plant/machinery, forklift trucks, agricultural machinery, compactors, bailers, access platforms, Telehandlers, or similar is beneficial but not essential.
