As a Field Service Engineer, you will be trained on how to repair and service a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment including load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, winches and moving decks, gaining a recognised industry certification.

As Field Service Engineer, you will carry out both planned and unplanned service and breakdown repair to customers' vehicle fleets throughout Avon, Somerset and the local surrounding region. The role will require you to be on-call 1 in 4 weekends and 2 evenings during the week.

You will ideally be qualified in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery or similar; be comfortable using various hand tools and have some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing mechanical equipment. Any prior knowledge or experience of hydraulics and basic fault finding on 12 & 24 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.

Previous experience of working on heavy vehicle plant/machinery, forklift trucks, agricultural machinery, compactors, bailers, road sweepers, telehandlers or similar equipment is a distinct advantage, though not essential.
