Join our latest project! We’re currently looking for a Technical Author to join our client’s team in Aberdeen. Our client is a leading engineering company supplying marine equipment to the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD). This is a contract till the end of 2025 (with strong potential for extension) supporting the update and delivery of technical manuals and spare kit documentation for new CE-marked equipment.. You’ll be required to work on-site in Aberdeen during the initial ramp-up phase, with flexibility to work remotely once established in the role. It is highly desirable that candidates are eligible for BPSS clearance (you don’t need to currently hold clearance). We’re looking for Technical Authors with experience in: Reviewing and updating large technical manuals and engineering documentation (some exceeding 800 pages). Managing part numbers, drawings, and engineering change control. Producing documentation compliant with MoD standards, CE marking, and EN250 pressure equipment regulations. Working confidently in Microsoft Word with large, complex documents (cross-referencing, formatting, indexing). Collaborating closely with engineers to ensure all technical data is accurate and up to date. Familiarity with diving or marine equipment, rebreathers, or pressure systems (desireable not essential). Background in mechanical or systems engineering (desireable not essential). If you think you are suitable, please apply below!
