Job Description
- Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for diverse applications, including grid‐scale installations, commercial and industrial facilities, and renewable energy assets.
- Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and independent specialist reviews, ensuring technical excellence throughout all project stages.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams — including engineers, project managers, and technicians — to ensure smooth integration of new systems into existing infrastructure.
- Perform system modelling, simulation, and optimisation to maximise energy efficiency and performance of power generation and storage systems.
- Develop and implement robust control and protection strategies, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support project development and delivery, including site assessments, data analysis, and preparation of technical documentation, proposals, and client reports.
Ideal Candidate
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Professional registration (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) or a clear pathway towards achieving it.
- Proven experience in the design and implementation of power generation or renewable energy systems.
- Working knowledge of process control and SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of grid connection and integration requirements, power system dynamics, and industry standards (e.g., IEC, ENA, BS7671).
