Overview: We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of electrical infrastructure projects, primarily focused on MV/LV systems and substations up to 33kV. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Grid connection projects by delivering high-quality electrical designs, technical support, and proposal documentation across multiple live projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and development of electrical systems up to 33kV
- Produce AutoCAD drawings, including SLDs, layouts, and schematics
- Perform technical reviews and provide support throughout project lifecycles
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, protection schemes, and earthing design
- Engage with DNO/ICP design standards as needed
- Support proposal preparation and coordination across concurrent projects
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience in MV/LV substation and industrial electrical design
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Amtech ProDesign
- Solid understanding of BS7671, protection coordination, and earthing systems
- Familiarity with utility/DNO requirements and ICP designs up to 33kV
Desirable:
- Exposure to 132kV infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of IPSA or ETAP software for electrical studies
