Job Title: SAP – Senior Authorised Person Project: 132kV Substation Contract Type: Part-Time Contract IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Start Date: January Location: Reading, South of England Role Overview We are supporting a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major 132kV substation project in Reading and are seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to support works on a part-time basis . The successful candidate will have proven SSE project experience and will play a key role in ensuring safe high-voltage operations in line with network and client safety rules. Key Responsibilities Act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) on a 132kV substation project Carry out and authorise high-voltage switching operations Work in full compliance with SSE safety rules and procedures Issue, control, and cancel safety documentation (PTW, SFT, LOA, etc.) Support commissioning, outages, and energisation activities as required Liaise with control rooms, site teams, and project stakeholders Maintain safe systems of work and ensure site safety at all times
