We are supporting a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major 132kV substation project in Reading and are seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to support works on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will have proven SSE project experience and will play a key role in ensuring safe high-voltage operations in line with network and client safety rules.
Key Responsibilities- Act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) on a 132kV substation project
- Carry out and authorise high-voltage switching operations
- Work in full compliance with SSE safety rules and procedures
- Issue, control, and cancel safety documentation (PTW, SFT, LOA, etc.)
- Support commissioning, outages, and energisation activities as required
- Liaise with control rooms, site teams, and project stakeholders
- Maintain safe systems of work and ensure site safety at all times
