We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in large-scale or highly regulated projects, with experience in the nuclear industry considered a strong advantage. This role requires proficiency in managing NEC 4 contracts, ensuring effective cost control, and contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee quantity surveying activities on large-scale or regulated projects.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Administer NEC 4 contracts, including valuations, claims, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to monitor progress and control costs.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with ongoing projects.
- Support procurement activities by assessing tender submissions and supplier contracts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project and wider organisation.
Qualifications
- Around 2+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within nuclear, large-scale infrastructure, or regulated industries.
- Experience in NEC 4 contract administration is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of cost management principles, contract law, and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Relevant professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
