CMC are expanding our Transmission and Distribution team, and are looking to engage a Project Manager (overhead line) on a 12 month contract basis, for a scheme in the Norwich area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate initial functional requirements for EHV (33kV to 400kV) projects into compliant, cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end project management of cable projects (33kV to 400kV), ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required safety and quality standards.
- Liaise with clients and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to successfully develop and deliver cable projects.
- Fulfil CDM duties by acting as the Designer and/or Principal Designer in accordance with CDM regulations for cable projects.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with internal engineering and operational teams.
- Manage and coordinate external service providers, including oversight of commercial administration.
- Conduct site visits to assess project needs, engage with contractors and project teams, monitor progress, perform safety audits, and resolve engineering issues as required.
