Voltage: 132kV / 275kV / 400kV

We're looking for an experienced CDAE - Protection & Control to provide design approval and technical assurance on a major UK transmission programme. This is an approval role, not hands-on design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as CDAE for P&C designs
  • Approve protection philosophies, relay schemes, intertripping, and SCADA interfaces
  • Support FAT/SAT and energisation
  • Interface with designers, contractors, and site teams
Essential:
  • Proven CDAE / delegated approval experience (P&C)
  • Strong HV/EHV substation background
  • Experience at 132kV–400kV
  • Ability to attend site in Newcastle 3 days per week
Nice to Have:
  • SR180 authorisation
  • Live substation experience
  • HVDC exposure
