Coalesce Management Consulting are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong experience in SAP to join a project with a leading Aerospace company. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving manufacturing process improvements, managing engineering changes, and utilising SAP to optimise production efficiency and data accuracy.
Onsite (Kilmarnock) – Inside IR35 – 3 Month Initial Contract (Potential to Extend)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and optimise manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production.
- Implement and manage engineering changes across production, ensuring alignment with quality and regulatory standards.
- Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing data within SAP.
- Analyse production and operational data from SAP to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and design engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) processes and ensure smooth transition into manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry regulations, and aerospace quality standards.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within an aerospace or complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (BOM management, data analysis, process updates).
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality standards.
- Experience in engineering change management and configuration control.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable process improvements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Aircraft manufacturing experience (fuselage, wings, or other major structures).
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 or similar CAD software.
- Experience working within an aerospace manufacturing organisation.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
