33kV SAP in Gloucester

We are looking for a 33kV SAP with UKPN authorisation for a substation project starting January 2026.

Location: Gloucestershire – hybrid model

Period: 6 months

Start date: January 2026

Type: Outside IR35

Responsibilities

• Carry out switching, testing and commissioning on 11kV–33kV systems
• Lead site safety, ensuring full compliance with UKPN and industry regulations
• Issue and cancel safety documents (PTWs, SFTs, LOAs, etc.)
• Support HV project delivery, faults, maintenance and customer connections
• Liaise with engineers, clients and control rooms to ensure seamless operations

Requirements

• UKPN authorisation (current or recently held)
• Proven experience as a 33kV SAP within DNO/IDNO environments
• Strong knowledge of HV safety rules and network operations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Full UK driving licence
