We’re supporting a specialist engineering test environment delivering RF regulatory and compliance testing and are now looking for an experienced RF Test Engineer to support conducted testing activities across a range of wireless and RF systems. This role will suit engineers with a strong background in RF testing and compliance, who are comfortable working independently in a structured lab environment and can take ownership of their testing activities. You’ll be working as part of a small, highly focused team, contributing to critical regulatory and performance validation work. Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. You will need to be able to work on our client’s site in Slough. This is a 12 month contract.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing conducted RF testing on wireless and RF systems
- Executing receiver performance tests including blocking, DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection), and AFS testing
- Carrying out power-related RF measurements in line with industry standards
- Working to ETSI and regulatory compliance requirements
- Operating RF lab equipment such as spectrum analysers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and network analysers
- Accurately documenting, analysing, and reporting test results
Technical exposure will include:
- Conducted RF measurement techniques (non-radiated testing environments)
- Receiver performance and interference testing methodologies
- Wireless system validation and compliance processes
- Hands‑on use of advanced RF lab instrumentation
- Working within structured certification or test house environments
- Strong RF testing experience
- Proven experience within regulatory or compliance testing environments
- Hands‑on experience with RF lab equipment (spectrum analysers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, network analysers)
- Experience working in a test house or certification environment
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
