Job Title: CAD Technician – High Voltage Transmission Projects (Multiple roles available)

Contract: Outside IR35 | Full-time or Part-time | Remote or Office-based (UK-wide) | 6 months initial contract (potential extension)

About the Role

We are seeking multiple skilled CAD Technicians to contribute to the successful delivery of multiple high-voltage infrastructure projects ranging from 132kV to 400kV. This position involves supporting a diverse portfolio of work, including Overhead Line (OHL) systems, substations, and underground cable installations.

The role will focus on producing high-quality technical drawings and collaborating closely with engineers and design teams to ensure compliance with project and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed CAD drawings for OHL, substation, and high-voltage cable projects.
  • Deliver drawing packages in line with project requirements and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain drawing records, version control, and associated documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in CAD delivery within the transmission and distribution sector (132kV to 400kV).
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, including: PLS-CADD, AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Revit, Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation
  • A minimum qualification of HNC/HND in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Strong understanding of high-voltage infrastructure, including overhead lines, substations, and cable systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
