About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Construction Manager to oversee all on-site activities across multiple projects in Yorkshire, the Midlands, and the North East. This role is vital in ensuring all construction work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards, client expectations, and industry regulations.
You will lead site operations, manage teams and subcontractors, and coordinate resources to ensure successful project delivery — on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Manage contracts and ensure adherence to NEC 3 and NEC 4 requirements and Bills of Quantities (BoQ).
- Prepare and maintain pre-start documentation, including RAMS, programs, and contractual paperwork.
- Work closely with senior management to plan, schedule, and allocate labour, materials, and equipment.
- Supervise and support site teams and subcontractors, promoting a strong safety culture and effective communication.
- Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure accurate completion of reports and permits.
- Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely delivery to meet project schedules.
- Maintain quality assurance documentation and assist with as-built drawings and project handover materials.
- Create and update two-week lookahead programs and keep detailed site diaries.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- CSCS Managers Card – Level 6 or above
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CPCS Lift Supervisor & Slinger Signaller
- Cat & Genny Training
- EUSR Blue Card
- Confined Spaces (Medium Risk) – City & Guilds
- First Aid at Work (3-day course)
- Fire Marshal Certification
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC) within 6 months
