We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering design, proven project delivery skills, and experience leading professional engineers and technical staff. Nuclear industry experience is desirable but not essential. We value diversity and are committed to an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering design projects to ensure timely, quality delivery.
  • Guide and influence engineers and technical teams to meet project goals.
  • Apply professional judgment within regulated, quality-assured systems, preferably nuclear-related.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture that values diversity and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality controls.
  • Support professional development and mentoring of engineering staff.
  • Communicate technical guidance and updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., Health & Safety at Work Act, CDM 2015, LOLER, DSEAR).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Significant experience in an engineering design environment requiring strong technical knowledge.
  • Recent experience in regulated, quality-assured systems, preferably nuclear sector.
  • Proven ability to apply professional judgment in complex regulated environments.
  • Experience leading and influencing engineers and technical personnel.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to health and safety (Health & Safety at Work Act, CDM 2015, LOLER, DSEAR).

Preferred Requirements

  • At least 8 years in engineering design roles within the last 10 years.
  • Experience with nuclear industry standards and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Strong familiarity with nuclear governance and statutory requirements.
