Join our latest project! We’re supporting a major defence software programme and are now looking for an experienced Software Engineer (C# / .NET) to provide short-term delivery support. The project is in an active update and stabilisation phase and needs an engineer who can quickly get up to speed with an existing codebase. Development is largely complete, with the focus now on consolidating software, supporting builds and releases, and working through formal development and configuration processes.
Due to the nature of the work, access to onsite integration equipment is required. You will be required to be on-site 3 days per week, in Basildon. This is an initial three month project - there is a strong likelihood of extension or movement onto a follow-on project depending on programme need and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with C# / .NET software development
- WPF C# GUI application development
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
- Ability to understand and work with existing codebases with limited documentation
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Serena / OpenText Dimensions CM or similar)
- Background in regulated or safety-critical environments
- Working knowledge of DO-178C Level D (desirable)
- SC is required for this position
