CMC are supporting one of our clients in Aberdeen looking to bring in a Mechanical Design Engineer to support a major design, development and qualification programme within the defence and subsea sector. You’ll join a small, collaborative engineering team where you’ll be involved across the full product lifecycle - from design and development through to testing and final delivery. This role offers the opportunity to have real influence on the product, working closely with electronics engineers, manufacturing teams and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical design and product development
- Producing and checking engineering drawings
- Supporting testing and qualification activities
- Creating technical and test documentation
- Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team
Essential Experience
- Mechanical Design Engineering experience (5-10+ years)
- Strong 3D CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
