Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Draughtsperson to support the design and development of a diving system. The successful candidate will join the project at its inception and work closely with a dedicated on-site project team, contributing to the full system design of an existing technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
- Create and maintain system schematics using AutoCAD
- Model mechanical parts, equipment, and assemblies for a deep saturation diving system
- Contribute to the full system design, from individual components (e.g. pressure vessels) through to complete system layouts
- Ensure designs align with existing technology, project requirements, and applicable standards
- Collaborate closely with engineers and the wider project team on-site throughout the project lifecycle
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Draughtsperson
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modelling) and AutoCAD (schematics)
- Essential experience in full system design, not just component-level drafting
- Experience designing saturation systems or subsea systems is highly desirable
- Experience in related industries such as Oil & Gas or Aerospace will also be considered
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Aberdeen
- Must be BPSS clearable
