We have exciting opportunities for stylists to join our team at Coal City Barbers and Beauty Ltd, Ipswich. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work and is able to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere within our team. This position is a full-time position, terms to be discussed. We are located in Ipswich town with lots of passer-by who go in and out of the shop.
You must be confident in all aspects of hairdressing; a stylist specialising in afro/Caribbean hair type would be preferred. The successful candidate will be able to do a range of hairstyles including:
- braids
- twists
- Ghana weave (feed in cornrows)
- dread locs
- weaves
- hair wash and styling
Additional responsibilities include:
- Keeping up to date with trends
- Maintaining a clean work area
- Providing hair care advice
- Recommending and upselling products
- Assisting customers in selecting and purchasing products
- Providing excellent customer service and addressing customer inquiries and concerns
Strong communication skills are required to effectively interact with customers and team members. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour are essential. You must be detail-oriented, organised, and able to multitask effectively.
