Overview

Assistant Store Manager position at Coach, a global fashion house founded in New York in 1941. The role focuses on delivering sales results through employee development and mentorship, maintaining Coach’s standards, and adapting to all roles within the store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate business acumen to deliver sales results through team development and mentorship.
  • Develop sales strategies and initiatives across all categories; communicate goals to the team and monitor store performance.
  • Manage productivity and accountability for personal and team contributions.
  • Develop and monitor clienteling strategies in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Implement and adapt sales strategies in response to market changes; uphold Coach’s brand standards and expectations.
  • Act as brand ambassador in the market to drive loyalty and business; participate in events and local initiatives.
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely, solution-oriented manner; escalate as needed.
  • Build long-term customer relationships to drive business; take ownership of results and empower others.
  • Collaborate with Store/District Manager to protect and drive business needs; complete daily tasks without compromising service standards.
  • Foster teamwork, welcome feedback, and set short- and long-term goals to achieve metrics.
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and collaborate on strategies to maintain top talent and a talent bench.
  • Oversight of operations including POS, policies, payroll, loss prevention, and budgeting in partnership with leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of previous management experience in a luxury retail service environment preferred; knowledge of fashion trends and competition.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Technical: Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with retail systems (labor management, inventory, sales reporting).
  • Physical: Ability to work at a fast pace; ability to maneuver the sales floor; ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds for shipments/ transfers; willingness to be flexible with scheduling.
  • Schedule: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays with peak retail demand.

Compensation

Base pay range: $22.00/hr – $30.50/hr
