We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring Support for Learning Assistant to work within the Learning Support Department at Colne Valley High School. Staff in the Learning Support Department work with students, parents and colleagues to ensure that all young people have the best learning environment, allowing them to accelerate learning and develop to their fullest potential.
Responsibilities
- Work predominantly with students who have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), supporting a range of additional needs such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Autism.
- Implement provisions and strategies to help students achieve key life outcomes.
- Provide student-centred, flexible support to meet individual needs, including in-class support, group work and bespoke interventions.
- Collaborate with a team committed to embedding school values in everyday practice.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs and plans is desirable.
- A willingness to work collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals.
