Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of St Paul’s CE Primary School. We are looking for the perfect fit for our wonderful school! Someone who is hard working, dedicated and has a desire to do their very best for the children of St Paul’s. As our Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the efficient running of our busy school office. You’ll be the first point of contact for pupils, staff, parents and visitors, providing a warm welcome and supporting the day-to-day operations of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming reception service for pupils, staff, parents and visitors, responding to enquiries in person, by telephone and by email.
- Carry out general administrative duties including word processing, filing, photocopying, and maintaining both manual and computerised records.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
- Assist with the maintenance of pupil records, admissions and attendance data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in line with GDPR.
- Support with the organisation of school events, trips and meetings.
- Assist with the administration of first aid, contacting parents/carers as required and maintaining records.
- Support the administration of school communications, including newsletters and notifications to parents/carers.
- Order and monitor office supplies, ensuring best value and stock availability.
- Provide administrative support to the senior leadership team and teaching staff as required.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times and adhere to school safeguarding and data protection policies.
