Reading buses is an award-winning public transport operator, serving Reading and the surrounding areas. We are one of Readingβs largest employers with over 580 employees and 175 buses, delivering over 70,000 passenger journeys each day.
We are committed to delivering a safe and reliable low carbon bus service that brings communities together through high quality customer experience.
To keep pace with the growth of the business in recent months, we have an exciting opportunity for an additional Assistant Operations Manager to join our operations team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the direct line management of our driver colleagues, with an initial focus on driver engagement, driver conduct, and compliance, along with related admin activities.
The right candidate will take full ownership of their areas of responsibility, ensuring continuous improvement, ensuring compliance to Earned Recognition standards.
Experience in a management role is not a must, however; you must be able to demonstrate how you meet the requirements of the role. A Transport Manager CPC qualification is desirable, but not essential.
