Role Summary
Drive profitable growth by providing strategic guidance, focus and execution of all Marketing activities within the Protein Processors Segment (Added Value Poultry, Pork, RTC, RTE) and targeted customers for the appointed business unit. This is a strategic marketing leadership position with real influence. You’ll own the direction of a priority customer segment across Europe, shaping go-to-market strategy, customer engagement, and innovation activation with visible commercial impact. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, key customers, R&D, and commercial teams – turning insight into real growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead Protein Processors Activation by campaigns and targeted events across Europe – cross category, leveraging existing Innovation, Global FlavourIQ trends & insights to drive strategic customer growth through proactive activations defined in a Growth Moments Calendar.
- Act as a key member and contributor of the European Segment Customer Marketing Team, the European Protein Processors GTM team, and the Business Unit Go-to-Market teams, bringing inspiring market and consumer insights to support new product development and translating ideas into actionable concepts that engage chefs and guide R&D innovation.
- Enable innovation and customer engagement from validation to commercialization; create and execute Segment & Unit Plans (with Business Development as accountable) and serve as a key project manager supporting the Business Development team on customer‑specific product development opportunities.
- Clearly position Griffith Foods as the preeminent product development partner with key customers, collaborating with cross‑functional peers to deliver best‑in‑class customer solutions.
- Assess primary and secondary research and communicate trends and insights to key customers; lead commercial efforts at trade events designed to elevate the Griffith Foods brand within targeted segment‑specific trade organizations.
- Act as the linking pin with global Food Manufacturers teams, ensuring alignment of European activation with global focus areas and own end‑to‑end project execution with a hands‑on approach, ensuring seamless coordination, reporting, and engagement of internal team stakeholders for successful outcomes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the UK&I-European food industry with retail market knowledge; understand the structure, needs & ways of working of the UK retail market.
- Previous experience at a food ingredients company, ideally in Marketing, Innovation, or Product Development, with experience in Business‑to‑Business and a clear understanding of how to create and deliver value propositions to customers.
