Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally within the Marketlink Global Network.
  • Liaise with sourcing countries to maintain and manage raw material ingredient libraries located at Griffith Foods, Somercotes.
  • Create, formulate, and provide process parameters for new products that comply with customer, legislative, and food safety requirements.
  • Use raw material libraries from all Marketlink sourcing countries to support product development.
  • Enter formula data into GL Apps and utilize the CRM and sample management systems to commercialise new products.
  • Optimize formulations (price, quality) and evaluate alternative raw materials to reduce complexity.
  • Participate in production trials of new products internally and at customer sites, providing technical support for ongoing issues.
  • Travel as necessary and maintain flexibility to meet project needs.
  • Build close relationships with selected customers through direct contact, understanding their ingredient, product, and legislative restrictions.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, workshops, and training to showcase product applications in a marketable format.
  • Communicate and prepare technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate technical development records, both electronic and paper based.
  • Meet tight deadlines established by customers and ensure briefs are met within stated timeframes.
  • Support the organisation’s Health and Safety standards, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of postgraduate development experience in a relevant technical field.
  • Relevant industry knowledge and technical expertise in food product development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously.
  • Strong computing skills, especially with the Microsoft Office package.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven time‑management and workload organisation to meet deadlines.

Compensation

The starting base salary for this position is £24,784.50 gross per year.
