Role Overview: Facilities Management Assistant to join the Kings Cross/Euston team at UPP. Hourly rate: £14.84.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the reception desk and a computerized system for real‑time helpdesk monitoring of reactive and planned maintenance work.
- Provide an excellent reception service to residents and office staff; keep records of all visitors and contractors and issue keys when required.
- Assist the manager(s) in coordinating on‑site activities, day‑to‑day administration and completing regular reports.
- Conduct walking inspections of the residence and grounds, reporting any security or safety issues to the manager.
- Monitor student conduct, encourage reasonable behaviour and report breaches of the Code of Conduct and licence agreement.
- Manage out‑of‑hours access to the residence, ensuring compliance with fire, health & safety procedures and residence instructions.
- Liaise with UPP staff, university clients, sub‑contractors, residents and conference delegates as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar reception or facilities role.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and a team‑working attitude.
- Will be subject to satisfactory vetting, including DBS checks.
