We are looking for eight Call Centre Assistants to join the UPP accommodation team, based at the Reading University campus, to help during the busy clearing period in August and September.
Responsibilities
- Assist the team in taking calls, answering emails, and supporting new students through the accommodation application process.
Work schedule
- The role will start with two days of paid training on the accommodation management system, customer service skills, and process tracking.
- Service hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday from 13th August, with training on 10th and 11th August.
- The position will run from 10th August to 4th September 2026, with a minimum of four weeks and the potential to extend up to 6‑8 weeks.
- Weekend work may be available.
Compensation
- £12.98 per hour.
Qualifications
- Outgoing and effective communicator
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer experience
- Excellent telephone communication and good writing skills
- Organised, accurate and detail‑oriented
- Ability to contribute to a fast‑paced team
- Computer literate
- Knowledgeable of University Halls of Residence (lived experience in University of Reading accommodation is an advantage)
